Modern school campus with lots to offer

Mount Vernon offers an excellent school system with an incredible student body and teaching staff. The campus itself is impressive, including the new Heroes' Field sports stadium and complex. If you enjoy reading, stop by the community library located just inside the school's East entrance.

Mt. Vernon is a quiet community, perfect for those looking to retreat from the hustle and bustle of "big city" life. Our community also has an active Senior Center located on Main Street. Local residents can enjoy hot meals served every Tuesday during the school year. For those who wish to dine in-home, we also have a 'Meals on Wheels' program available to anyone 60+ years.

Variety of youth activities

There are a variety of youth and amateur sporting activities in Mt. Vernon. Our hometown Mount Vernon/Plankinton Titans are the heartbeat of our community and we boast some of the best student-athletes in the state! Mt. Vernon also has a great lineup of summer youth and amateur sports including summer baseball programs, junior football and youth wrestling. Dance and cheer, we have that too! All of our coaches take great pride in working with our youth.
